Quick answer

Mochi's compounded semaglutide is $60–$189/month and tirzepatide $90–$199/month for medication alone, with required membership added. An illustrative escalating-dose year, using one listed step per billing month before holding semaglutide at 2.21 mg and tirzepatide at 13.2 mg, totals $1,860 and $2,857 with three-month membership and its one-time $40 discount. Luma's three-month first-year totals are $1,368 and $2,058: illustrated savings of $492 for semaglutide and $799 for tirzepatide. This is not a verified Mochi titration schedule or a prediction of any patient's prescription.

Luma has no separate membership fee. Compounded semaglutide injection plans start at $99/mo and compounded tirzepatide at $149/mo on a three-month new-patient plan, or a six-month plan for current GLP users. The new-patient discount is designed to help new patients get started; it applies to the first plan period, and renewal pricing stays affordable with no membership fee. Pay upfront or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split payments, subject to eligibility and approval.

Two advantages stand out against Mochi: Luma charges no membership fee, and no long-term commitment is required to unlock affordable pricing. Mochi's listed medication prices always sit on top of a required membership, and its lowest membership rates come only from prepaid six- or twelve-month terms. Luma's month-to-month plans already include medication, provider oversight, necessary supplies and shipping, and the price does not change by dose.

What Mochi Health publicly lists

  • Medication: Compounded injectable semaglutide $60–$189/mo; compounded tirzepatide $90–$199/mo, depending on the listed weekly dose.
  • Membership: $79 monthly, $207 per three months ($69/mo), $354 per six months ($59/mo), or $588 per year ($49/mo), excluding medication.
  • Billing: Marketplace lists a one-time $40 membership discount: $39 first month, $167 first quarter, $314 first six months or $548 first year, subject to eligibility. Medication is separate; longer membership terms are prepaid.

How increasing doses change the bill

The starting price is not a full-year titration cost. This illustration moves through one listed price step per billing month, then holds semaglutide at 2.21 mg from month 5 and tirzepatide at 13.2 mg from month 6. These are selected comparison endpoints, not a verified Mochi protocol or dose-equivalence mapping. Clinicians determine actual dose changes; a four-week stage is not a calendar month.

With three-month membership, this illustration totals $1,860 for semaglutide and $2,857 for tirzepatide, including the one-time $40 membership discount. Luma's three-month first-year totals are $1,368 and $2,058: an illustrated difference of $492 and $799 respectively. It does not assume the highest listed dose or guarantee these savings.

Using Mochi's prepaid annual membership instead ($548 first year including its $40 discount), the same medication path totals $1,620 for semaglutide and $2,617 for tirzepatide; the differences narrow to $252 and $559. This is an annual membership commitment, not a three-month comparison.

¹ Includes $69/mo equivalent three-month membership, before its first-term discount. ² Mochi: 12 medication charges + $167 first-quarter membership + three $207 membership renewals. Luma: one discounted quarter + three current-user quarters. This is a fixed-dose illustration, not a predicted treatment schedule; dose changes and other membership terms affect totals.

At the illustrated ongoing doses, Mochi is $165/mo for semaglutide and $263/mo for tirzepatide with three-month membership. Luma's three-month renewal rates are $119/mo and $179/mo, a difference of $46/mo and $84/mo. For Luma's month-to-month current-user plans ($149/mo and $219/mo), those differences are smaller: $16/mo for semaglutide and $44/mo for tirzepatide, with different commitments. Holding Mochi's lowest tirzepatide dose all year remains cheaper than Luma's three-month first-year plan; the escalating example above answers a different question.

Mochi's annual membership is $49/mo equivalent, less than the $69/mo three-month membership used here. That can narrow or reverse a difference at lower medication doses. Both providers' offer eligibility and actual prescribed formulation must be confirmed.

Luma's side of these totals carries no membership fee at any term. Month-to-month, three-month and six-month plans each include medication, provider oversight, necessary supplies and shipping, and no long-term commitment is required to unlock an affordable price. Mochi's medication prices are always separate from its required membership, whose lowest monthly equivalents come from prepaid six- or twelve-month terms.

Mochi's official medication pages say dosing is at provider discretion; they do not establish a fixed monthly titration calendar. The dose selectors show medication prices separately from membership. Marketplace offers monthly, three-month, six-month and annual membership commitments. The dose page's separate first-month-free monthly offer is not combined with Marketplace's $40 discount. All-dose tables retain fixed-dose examples for context; the headline comparison instead shows the explicit escalating path below.

Confirm your prescribed dose path, membership commitment, offer eligibility, separate medication charges and cancellation conditions. Slower escalation, different maintenance doses and longer membership commitments change the result; no standardized compounded schedule or equivalent dosing is asserted.

Luma pricing: the first period and renewal

New GLP User starting plans. Monthly equivalents; three months paid upfront, or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split the payments, subject to eligibility and approval.
TreatmentStarting at3-month total
Compounded semaglutide$99/mo$297 upfront
Compounded tirzepatide$149/mo$447 upfront
Compounded semaglutide ODT$159/mo$477 upfront
Compounded tirzepatide ODT$179/mo$537 upfront

Current GLP users can access the same injection starting rates with a six-month plan: compounded semaglutide $99/mo ($594 upfront); compounded tirzepatide $149/mo ($894 upfront). Pay upfront or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split the payments, subject to eligibility and approval. Other billing options and oral current-user prices are listed on the pricing page. Treatment requires provider approval.

The new-patient discount applies once. If you keep the same three-month commitment, semaglutide renews at $119/mo and tirzepatide at $179/mo. You can switch plans, such as a six-month injection plan, or cancel anytime before your next billing date.

Medication, provider oversight, necessary supplies and shipping are included. No separate membership fee is added, and prices do not change by dose.

The 12-month math

A monthly headline is not the same as a year of bills. This example assumes a new patient chooses a three-month injection plan and renews that same commitment three times, with today's prices unchanged.

The quick-answer banners compare both Luma three-month injection plans against the explicitly illustrated Mochi escalating-dose path plus its three-month membership; they do not hold the starting dose for a year or assert a verified Mochi protocol. Medication prepayment terms may differ. Dose changes, different plans, promotions and future prices can change the result. No guaranteed annual savings are claimed.

Who might choose Mochi Health or Luma?

Consider Mochi Health for

A program with dose-based medication pricing and discounted longer membership commitments. Confirm that the specific medication, services and commitment match what you want.

Consider Luma for

Compounded-program pricing without a separate membership charge, dose-independent prices, and monthly or multi-month options. A licensed clinician reviews your online intake and determines whether prescribing is appropriate.

On the comparison above, Luma's illustrative first year is $492 lower than Mochi Health's modeled year: $1,368 versus $1,860.

The same three-month comparison for compounded tirzepatide is $799 lower at Luma: $2,058 versus $2,857.

Eligible current GLP users can save another $120 every six months by choosing Luma's six-month compounded semaglutide plan at $99/mo instead of two current-user three-month plans.

Against Mochi specifically: Luma adds no membership fee to any plan, and you do not need a six- or twelve-month prepaid term to reach an affordable price. Luma's month-to-month plans carry the same all-inclusive terms, so the listed price is the price.

The choice is not just about cost. Branded and compounded products are not interchangeable, and a lower price does not establish better clinical care or results.

Splitting payments and canceling renewals

Luma offers Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay to help split your bill into smaller payments. These options can spread the cost of an eligible prepaid plan without changing its total Luma price or commitment length.

  • Affirm: how it works — Pay over time with eligible payment plans. Affirm offers Pay in 4 and longer-term options; available terms depend on your purchase and eligibility.
  • Klarna: how it works — Pay in 4 splits an eligible purchase into four payments, generally every two weeks, so you can spread the cost over time.
  • Afterpay: how it works — Pay in 4 splits an eligible purchase into four installments over six weeks, with the first payment upfront.

Choose from the options available for your purchase and review the payment schedule before agreeing. Eligibility and approval apply; payment amounts and available plans vary. Some Pay in 4 options are interest-free, while other plans may carry interest; late fees may apply depending on the provider and plan. The provider shows the applicable terms before you commit.

Luma still charges the full multi-month plan price upfront; an approved payment provider lets you repay that purchase on its separate schedule. Splitting payments does not turn a three-month Luma plan into a month-to-month subscription.

Canceling an upcoming Luma renewal does not cancel installments owed on a purchase already financed. Any approved refund is handled under Luma’s policy and the payment provider’s terms.

Canceling Luma

Cancel upcoming orders anytime before your next billing date through your patient portal or by emailing support@joinluma.com. This does not establish a refund for an already billed or fulfilled order.

Canceling Mochi Health

Confirm your prescribed dose path, membership commitment, offer eligibility, separate medication charges and cancellation conditions. Slower escalation, different maintenance doses and longer membership commitments change the result; no standardized compounded schedule or equivalent dosing is asserted. Use Mochi Health's official account or support instructions and ask whether medication and membership must be canceled separately. We have not verified a provider-specific cancellation deadline or completed that process.

If you are considering switching, complete a new clinical evaluation and coordinate treatment timing with your clinician.
