The short answer: Luma’s compounded semaglutide injection plans start at $99/mo and compounded tirzepatide injection plans start at $149/mo. These monthly equivalents are available on new-user three-month or current-user six-month plans, paid upfront, or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split the payments, subject to eligibility and approval. The summary below shows the commitment beside each starting price.

New GLP User pricing is a new-patient discount designed to help patients new to GLP-1 medication get started. It applies to your first plan period; after that, your plan renews at regular Current GLP User pricing for the same plan length. There are no membership fees, and the price stays the same at every dose. You can switch plans or cancel anytime before your next billing date.

What are Luma’s starting prices?

New GLP User starting plans. Monthly equivalents; three months paid upfront, or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split the payments, subject to eligibility and approval.
TreatmentStarting at3-month total
Compounded semaglutide$99/mo$297 upfront
Compounded tirzepatide$149/mo$447 upfront
Compounded semaglutide ODT$159/mo$477 upfront
Compounded tirzepatide ODT$179/mo$537 upfront

Current GLP users can access the same injection starting rates with a six-month plan: compounded semaglutide $99/mo ($594 upfront); compounded tirzepatide $149/mo ($894 upfront). Pay upfront or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split the payments, subject to eligibility and approval. Other billing options and oral current-user prices are listed on the pricing page. Treatment requires provider approval.

The $99/mo and $149/mo starting prices apply to injections. Compounded oral ODT plans have separate starting prices and formulations, shown above; an injection headline is not the price of every weight-loss product.

Who qualifies for the new-patient discount?

The New GLP User discount is designed for patients new to GLP-1 medication, subject to provider approval. Already taking a GLP-1? Tell the provider your current medication, dose and treatment history so the appropriate patient tier and treatment can be reviewed. Selecting a plan is not a guarantee of a prescription.

Does increasing my dose change my price?

No. A clinical dose increase does not change your price — within a tier the price is the same at every dose. The discount applies to your first plan period, not to a particular dose. When the plan renews, it bills at the Current GLP User rate for the same commitment length, which keeps ongoing treatment affordable. Confirm the renewal price for your selected plan before agreeing to it.

What if I used a GLP-1 before but stopped?

Disclose the previous medication, when you last took it and why you stopped. Do not assume a treatment gap automatically makes you a new user; ask the care team to confirm the applicable tier. The clinician separately decides whether treatment and any restart dose are appropriate.

Does “per month” mean monthly payments?

Not for the multi-month offers above. The monthly equivalent is the full plan price divided by its number of months; Luma charges the plan total upfront. You can pay in full or use an eligible Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay option to split your repayment. Month-to-month Luma plans are also available on the pricing page.

Before paying, confirm the treatment, patient tier, plan length, total due and next billing date shown for your selected plan. A clinical dose change does not change that plan’s price.

A concrete example of the upfront payment

The New GLP User three-month semaglutide injection plan is $99/mo × 3 months = $297 charged upfront by Luma. This is not three separate $99 Luma charges. If you choose an approved Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay option, its repayment amounts and dates are shown separately by that provider.

Can Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay help split my bill?

Luma offers Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay to help split your bill into smaller payments. These options can spread the cost of an eligible prepaid plan without changing its total Luma price or commitment length.

  • Affirm: how it works — Pay over time with eligible payment plans. Affirm offers Pay in 4 and longer-term options; available terms depend on your purchase and eligibility.
  • Klarna: how it works — Pay in 4 splits an eligible purchase into four payments, generally every two weeks, so you can spread the cost over time.
  • Afterpay: how it works — Pay in 4 splits an eligible purchase into four installments over six weeks, with the first payment upfront.

Choose from the options available for your purchase and review the payment schedule before agreeing. Eligibility and approval apply; payment amounts and available plans vary. Some Pay in 4 options are interest-free, while other plans may carry interest; late fees may apply depending on the provider and plan. The provider shows the applicable terms before you commit.

Luma still charges the full multi-month plan price upfront; an approved payment provider lets you repay that purchase on its separate schedule. Splitting payments does not turn a three-month Luma plan into a month-to-month subscription.

Canceling an upcoming Luma renewal does not cancel installments owed on a purchase already financed. Any approved refund is handled under Luma’s policy and the payment provider’s terms.

What happens when the first plan period ends?

When your first plan period ends, the plan renews at Current GLP User pricing for the same commitment length — affordable ongoing pricing, with no membership fees. For example, the New GLP User three-month tirzepatide plan at $149/mo ($447 billed upfront) renews at $179/mo ($537 billed upfront) for the next three months. The three-month semaglutide discount at $99/mo renews at $119/mo. Pay upfront or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split the payments, subject to eligibility and approval.

You can change your commitment before your next billing date — for example, a current GLP user can move to a six-month injection plan ($99/mo semaglutide or $149/mo tirzepatide, billed upfront) instead of renewing on the three-month term. Pay upfront or use Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay to split the payments, subject to eligibility and approval. Contact support@joinluma.com before the next billing date to change your plan. Cancel upcoming orders anytime before your next billing date through your patient portal or by emailing support@joinluma.com.

Am I charged if the provider does not approve treatment?

Luma’s published FAQ says you are only charged if a licensed provider approves treatment. Completing intake or selecting an offer does not establish medical eligibility. Medical care is provided by Arora Health and Aesthetics, and the licensed provider may request more information or determine that treatment is not appropriate.

This approval policy is separate from cancellation or refund rules for an order already billed or fulfilled. Ask the team about your specific order rather than treating prescription approval, payment and refunds as the same event.

Does the price include medication, shipping and care?

Luma’s published plans include prescribed medication, licensed-provider oversight, necessary supplies and shipping. There are no membership fees and no insurance requirement. A clinical dose change does not change the price of the selected plan.

Is this an insurance copay?

No. Luma is a self-pay program; the advertised price is not an insurance copay or a manufacturer savings-card offer. If comparing with a branded prescription, check your own coverage, deductible and any separate care fees. Do not assume insurance will reimburse a Luma order.

Our weight-loss injections and oral combination products are compounded by U.S. licensed pharmacies. Compounded medication is not FDA-approved; lower cost does not establish equivalence to a branded product. The FDA’s compounding explanation describes this distinction.

How do cancellation and prepaid plans differ?

Cancel upcoming orders anytime before your next billing date through your patient portal or by emailing support@joinluma.com. This prevents future Luma charges; it does not promise a refund for an already billed or fulfilled order. Review the Terms of Service and your plan’s billing information.

  • Find the next billing date for your selected plan; do not assume a three-month plan renews every month.
  • Use your patient portal or contact support@joinluma.com before that date to cancel upcoming orders.
  • Keep the cancellation confirmation. A request to change medication is not automatically a cancellation request.
  • Installments for a purchase already financed remain subject to your Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay agreement; canceling a Luma renewal does not cancel that repayment schedule.

What should you confirm before starting?
